Modul company has arranged delivery of 3 out-of-gauge heavy lift autoclaves

Modul company has arranged a delivery of 3 out-of-gauge heavy-lift autoclaves with components ex works Maschinenbau SCHOLZ GmbH & Co. KG, Germany to the port of St. Petersburg.

 September 1^st, 2009 at berth No.5 ZAO «Second Stevedore Company» offloaded steamer «Setlark» with 3 places of heavy lift and out-of-gauge cargo - autoclaves. The cargo has dimensions: length - 41,0 m, diameter - 3,6 m. Weight 70,0 t. Offloading was made with "Condor" tandem cranes of 40,0 t capacity each with laying onto the berth. This is the first stage.

The autoclaves are designed for a gas concrete block plant in Sayansk, Irkutsk region. The cargo will be shipped onto special railway transporter of coupling type, with 120 ton capacity.

At present forwarding and chartering company "Modul" is fulfilling a complex of works on the cargo shipping to the consignee. Customs and transport documents are being prepared. Acording to the actual cargo outline and dimensions a railway transportation project is being developed which is to be approved by the department of specialized transportation management of ОАО «RZhD». The contractor is being chosen and a contract is to be concluded for manufacture of special metal fittings to fix the cargo on the transporter. Transporters of 14-6054 model have been ordered and on their arrival works on cargo preparation for loading will be fulfilled.

All these and other arrangements must be made simultaneously to deliver the cargo as soon as possible.
